“Travelling is Part of Learning”

I'm sure you all are familiar with the above saying. Yes, no doubt the experience gained from travelling from one’s base to a different location either for education, job or touristic purposes cannot be bought or quantified.

I will forever be grateful that I took the risk of relocating from Akwa Ibom to Lagos. Most importantly, the experience I gathered from Ekiti State, the “Land of Honour and Integrity ” as fondly called, is immeasurable. Above all, my trips around the world as a flight crew before settling in the US. In all these travelling experiences, most of the time, before settling down, wasn't pleasant I must say. However, they make up who you see today. The reason many do not want to take a chance apart from the fear of the unknown is the fact that most African parents militate against the idea of their children travelling to an unknown country. I was not left out. Fortunately, I had to take my destiny in my hand. It was risky, rugged and rough. Think twice before taking such a risk of  disobeying your parents.

Travelling helped my career tremendously and gave me options for diverse opportunities. Are you ready to leave your comfort zone to take that risk and explore new environments & opportunities? I encourage you to do so especially if you are a job seeker and residing in a less developed city or location. What are your thoughts on this subject? I would like to get feedback from you.
