The Holy book says, "seest thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings he shall not stand before mean men". This scripture surprisingly will work for even the man that does not believe in God because there are certain laws that works for all when applied whether they believe in God or not.
Ever wondered why most of these so called unbelievers succeed in their endeavours, while some believers don't. The answer lies in how diligent they are in their life pursuits. A so-called believer who lazies around and is negligent will fail. God does not even encourage laziness. That's by the way. Let's dive into the crux of the matter.
Diligence is a virtue that is needed in every sphere of life and is sacrosanct to not just succeeding but having consistent, and sustained success. Those who are diligent in their dealings get to achieve their desired goals.
I call it the Mother of good fortune because it births other attributes that pushes, one to achieve their desired goals. Diligence as a constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken, birth qualities like patience, persistence and consistency. Therefore a diligent person is one who possesses the above mentioned qualities in delivering duties.
The difference between those who experience short lived success and long lived success is in how diligent they are with their pursuit. It is in the level of their consistency, that they will thrive. When diligence is given to a pursuit the tendency to do well at it is very high, because this virtue comes with a drive to keep on pushing until the desired is achieved and even when it is achieved there is usually a push to break new grounds.
William Penn says "patience and diligence like faith remove mountains". In essence, the diligent pursuit or one's goals no matter the hurdles will certainly yield positive results over time.
